Information we collect

When you book a free trial or contact us: first and last name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, the learner’s age and gender, teacher preference, course of interest, current level, preferred lesson times and any message you write.

During lessons and enrollment: your lesson schedule, attendance, progress notes from your teacher, and billing details needed to issue invoices. Card or bank details are handled by the payment provider shown on your invoice; we do not store full card numbers.

When you browse the site: technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and how you move through a page. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies described below.

How we use your information

  • To arrange your free trial and match the learner with a suitable teacher.
  • To schedule and deliver lessons, track progress and share updates with the learner or parent.
  • To send invoices and handle payments, refunds and cancellations.
  • To answer your questions by email or WhatsApp.
  • To keep the website secure and improve how it works.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising profiles.

Legal basis (UK and EU visitors)

We process your information to take steps you ask for before entering into a contract and to perform that contract (booking and lessons), to meet legal obligations (such as keeping invoices), and for our legitimate interest in running and securing the website. Where we rely on consent, such as non-essential cookies, you can withdraw it at any time.

Children’s information

Many of our learners are children. Bookings for learners under 18 must be made by a parent or legal guardian, who provides the child’s details and stays the main contact. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without a parent’s consent. If you believe a child has sent us information without consent, contact us and we will delete it.

Lessons are one-to-one and live. We do not record lessons unless the parent or adult learner asks for it and agrees.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the people and services needed to provide lessons:

  • Your teacher, who sees the learner’s name, age, level, goals and schedule.
  • Hosting and email providers that run our website and inbox (Hostinger).
  • FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which delivers the free trial booking form to our email inbox, and WhatsApp, which we use to talk with you.
  • Website analytics tools, if we add them, to understand how pages are used. We will update this policy before adding any new tool.
  • Payment providers that process your payments.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

International transfers

We are based in Egypt and some of our service providers are in other countries. When your information is transferred outside the UK or EU, we use providers that protect it with appropriate safeguards.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to make the site work. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. If we add an analytics tool in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

How long we keep it

Trial booking details are kept for up to 12 months if you do not enroll. Student records and invoices are kept while you study with us and for up to 6 years afterwards for accounting and legal reasons. You can ask us to delete your information earlier where the law allows.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, or receive a copy of it. Parents can make these requests for their children. Email info@quranarabiya.com and we will reply within 30 days. UK and EU residents can also complain to their local data protection authority.

Security

We use HTTPS across the site, limit access to student information to the staff and teachers who need it, and use trusted providers to store data. No online service is completely secure, so please contact us straight away if you think your information has been misused.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
